Ils avaient fait du bruit l'an dernier, avec l'EP will it be enough for you to keep going?.
Alors, faites-moi confiance. Je prends plaisir à vous recommander ce disque, il a su me toucher, aiguiser ma curiosité et mes sens, me faire réfléchir, et même rêver.

It's been months since I posted on the blog, that I can no longer write. Whenever I try, it's the white sheet syndrome, or I erase everything because it looks empty and boring... Maybe I tended to intellectualize my content too much, to write too consistent stuff, or I don't know. In the end, it's mainly because of a big procrastination, combined with a few fears and doubts. But all that shit is over: I'm back, I'm happy about it, and I have a thousand things to tell you, but I'm not going to rush (well I'll try) and I'll go slowly.
This week, I discovered the new album of Massa Nera, Los Pensamientos De Una Cara Palida, and I was pleasantly surprised by this banger of a record. They had a small buzz last year with their EP will it be enough for you to keep going?. And with their first LP, the group keeps the main lines of the ethereal and melodic music that as revealed on the EP: bright riffs that develop along the length, explosions and atmospheric parts that guarantee chills to the listener, a very "euro screamo" sound, Italian and French especially, and a few lines of Spanish singing. But there's a darker atmosphere, it evokes City Of Caterpillar at times. The pieces are longer, the climate is heavier, but we always stay on something deeply sensitive and melodic.
The more you plunge into this disc, the more you discover catchy details, sometimes confusing, and sometimes awesome at first: the drum groove of the aerial and hypnotic end of "Carrying A Coffin", the jazzy break of "Provisional Euphoria", the quasi neo-crust bomb "One.Two.Zero", the exceptional final that is the entirety of "Waltz! (La Guerra)" ... A very rich, panting, intriguing record, which will pass by itself in repeat in your ears, whether you want it or not. I speak in knowledge of the cause ... I also had quite a few times the impression of hearing some Young Mountain influences on this record, especially in the voice, and also Daïtro similarities in some riffs. It's full of contrasting atmospheres, moments of lightning catharsis, full of little things that capture our attention.
It's a very nice record, in the air of time, which takes all the negative shit around us to make something powerful. It's released by Zegema Beach Records, Middle-Man Records, Ancient Injury Records, and Dingleberry Records. And, at this moment of this little paper, I block a little to say something else... So hey, trust me. I take a real pleasure to recommend you this record to you, it knew how to touch me, to sharpen my curiosity and my senses, to make me think a lot, and even to dream.
Bisous.
