Désormais, on a donc affaire à Lingua Nada.

Seems legit.

Bisous.

English translation :

Last year I told you about Goodbye Ally Airships, a band founded by a bulimic-of-music buddy, gifted in this thing and expatriate in Germany, I named Adam Lenox Jr, the emo game knows him more or less for his participation in the production of the last Panucci's Pizza's album. With this band, he released a self-titled album in 2014 (and some demos very marked by 90's emo, removed from the Internet since). It looked like nothing known on this planet, it was totally metronomic and super fresh, but unfortunately no one has followed, and now it's criminally forgotten. I reviewed this album on another french site where I write, Alternativ News, but I haven't even thought about posting this here, in good asshole I am.

Some time after, Adam questioned himself, changed its line-up, changed the name of the band. Now, we are dealing with Lingua Nada. It's always about sounds that are like nothing else, but executed at an unreasonable volume. While Goodbye Ally Airships played rather a retro-futuristic post-hardcore with a rich and groovy as fuck bass, Lingua Nada focuses instead on the fuzz, but an overdose version of it. Without knowing what happens, you can find yourself in a total mindfuck reuniting shoegaze, garage rock, trap, grunge and emo in the same song (the great "Ultimate Black Metal", which has occult stuff only in the name). This piece says a lot about the rest of the record: Don't search any logic because anyway the authors don't give a fuck about it, just appreciate the thing and break your eardrums. For example, with "Beach Douchebags", you will lose 40% of hearing, but it will be done so effectively and catchy in the pain it will make you laugh like when you go out toothless of a Converge show and that you fends the pear with your buddies by comparing the number of canines that you left on the ground during the gig. And anyway, you've liked to hear this abuse of fuzz in the last Loma Prieta, so shut up and give your doctor a reason to give you a work stoppage for ear infection, you will thank me for the holiday plan.

In this EP, one of the leitmotifs of Adam is to make talking guitars and pedals instead of his words, but nobody will understand that, everyone will say "hey, it's so good, it plays hard, it makes noise!". Dude, Kurt Cobain hasn't made noise only because it was funny. It was simply so much noise chaos than the chaos that causes a rare disease in his stomach and he that had punctuated his life from his childhood in a dreary industrial city of the traditional redneck America. Well here, there's a little similar, but European version. the sound torment make echo to the torments of the dude. And to support all this, there's a solid rhythmic section, become one with the sonic mess, never betraying this true catharsis. In my opinion, it takes tenacity, dexterity, for following all this, even if it must be fun to play, so congratulations to them.

If you like Mylets, Tera Melos, NounsSorority Noise and Soda Bomb (their last LP rips, kind of grimy and punky power-pop), music also noisy as melodic, and if it never made you scared biting into liquor candies (if you haven't left your teeth after the Converge gig), here you will find your happiness. And anyway, as Adam would tell you so well, it's still better than the last Radiohead. Seems legit.

XOXO.
